Pretty Pets Online aims to ensure that participating in our competitions with your pet is an enjoyable experience. To achieve this and for the benefit of everyone involved, certain rules must be observed. By entering the show, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined below. Failure to comply with these rules will result in an immediate ban from Pretty Pets Online.
Participation in our competitions is at your own risk. Pretty Pets Online is not liable for any injuries sustained while competing.
Entrants are responsible for familiarising themselves with the full criteria for each class.
Anyone under the age of 16 must obtain parental consent before participating in classes.
Pretty Pets Online reserves the right to modify the schedule, prizes, sponsors, judges, and rosettes.
Entries from professional photographers, used without permission, will not be accepted. Entrants must have explicit permission to use all images submitted. It is the competitor’s responsibility to ensure that the photographer’s consent is obtained for using purchased images in an online show.
Unless stated otherwise upon entry, consent will be assumed for Pretty Pets Online to share any photos entered on all social media platforms. Entrants wishing to withhold their photos from social media sharing must specify this upon entry.
Pets must either belong to the entrants or be under their care at the time of entry, unless the Pet is deceased. If Pets are on loan, shared, or sold, permission should be sought from the owners before entering.
The decisions of the Judges / Pretty Pets Online are final.
Pretty Pets Online is a ‘fun’ show and is not affiliated with any breed or showing society’s rules.
Once an image has won a specific class, such as “Best Turned Out” or “Best Headshot”, it cannot be entered in the same class again for two months, although it may be entered in other classes. This rule also applies to collages. If a Pets wins “Star Of The Month”, it cannot be re-entered for this class for six months.
Entrants are responsible for verifying that their photos are entered into the correct classes before the show closes.
Only information relevant to the entered class, such as the class number, entrant’s name, pets details, photographer’s signature, and show name, will be published on the photo. No additional text should be included on the photo itself unless otherwise stated in the class rules.
Judges may not enter classes they are judging. Close friends and family should avoid entering classes where they know the judge or sponsor. If a conflict of interest is suspected, entrants will be asked to change classes or be issued a refund.
Judging will begin after entries close, but results may take up to forty-eight hours to be posted on the website and Facebook page.
Entries will not be uploaded to the website until the class fee has been paid.
It is strongly recommended that safety hats and personal protective equipment (PPE) be worn. Judges may view entries depicting unsafe behavior unfavorably.
For UK entrants, the cost of second-class postage for awards is included in the entry price. Pretty Pets Online is not responsible for any loss or damage of awards in the post. Entrants requiring insurance must specify this upon entry and pay extra for recorded delivery. Addresses are not obtained from PayPal; it is the entrants’ responsibility to inform Pretty Pets Online of any address changes.
For international entrants, if parcel tracking is desired, entrants must specify this before rosettes are posted. The price for international tracked shipping will be higher than international standard. Due to increased overseas postage costs, prizes from sponsors are sent overseas at the sponsor’s discretion and subject to customs regulations. Additional shipping fees may be required. No alternative prize will be offered. International postage may incur customs charges, which are the entrant’s responsibility to pay. Rosettes will be listed as their entry value for customs declarations.
Addresses are not obtained from PayPal; it is the entrants’ responsibility to inform Pretty Pets Online of any address changes. If a response regarding an address change is not received, entrants should email Pretty Pets Online until a response is given.
Efforts will be made to ensure that winners receive their awards as soon as possible, but it may take up to two weeks from the day results are announced for prizes to be sent out. Pretty Pets Online is not responsible for damage or loss of rosettes in the post.
Entries that do not meet the requirements of the entered class, may be denied entry at the discretion of Pretty Pets Online.
Negative behavior may result in denial of entry to the show and removal and blocking from the show’s Facebook page. Pretty Pets Online reserves the right to refuse entry into our classes.
Digitally edited images are not allowed unless stated otherwise in the class schedule. Entrants are expected to maintain integrity regarding digital editing. For formal classes, filters should be natural, with brightening and exposure adjustments allowed. Monochrome or black-and-white pictures are permitted if they fit the class description. Permission should be obtained from anyone else featured prominently in the photo.
All images sent to Pretty Pets Online will be in the public domain.
Pretty Pets Online may extend the entry date if necessary. Refunds will only be issued at the discretion of Pretty Pets Online. Rosettes are not guaranteed upon entry.
For any discrepancies regarding points in the points league, entrants should contact info@prettypetsonlinecompetitions.co.uk immediately to rectify them.
